Working with the National Archives
If you already know what you're searching for, that's great news! To acquire your desired records promptly, I recommend reaching out to a knowledgeable staff member at the National Archives based in Kansas City. By contacting kansascity.archives@nara.gov, you can receive specialized assistance from experienced archivists who will guide you in locating the specific information you seek. When you’ve found what you’re looking for, that’s where we come in. Send a file number to our email address, and we will have a quote ready for you within a business day.
The National Archives at Kansas City is one of the largest repositories of federal documents outside of the Washington, DC, area, and growing quickly. Documents are stored in a series of secure, climate controlled underground storage systems throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area. As such, documents will be delivered to the central Pershing Road facility for viewing on a weekly basis. Place your order by Friday for delivery the following week.
Once it is delivered to the reading room, we will work quickly to digitize the documents into high quality searchable PDF files, and send them to you for you to research and review at your leisure.
